How to show the data grids view in a tooltip?

Postby rajaryan544 » Tue Jan 20, 2009 1:19 pm

Hi,

I would like to show a tooltip when the user move the mouse over the first column of my gridview.

The tooltip should be bound to a field of the gridview's datasource that correspond to the row being hovered.

How can I do that ?

Thanks,
Raj

This and all kind of other great things can be done relatively easily with jquery/jqgrid... Is anyone else interested in an ajaxified web interface?

Hi,

It would be interesting, but I don't have resource myself to do the development. The existing Web Interface is pretty amateur I admit ...

amateur but works, just lacks some functionality. I'd be interested in contributing if at all possible but have to admit I don't have a web background. I was hoping to possibly start something that others would be interested in helping out with. I have found it pretty easy to create a basic site (local auth or ldap which I can see being able to support multiple domains if needed enough) where you can manage all aspects of your systems, freenac configuration, buildings, rooms, vlans, view logs, and get console access while logged in as an admin. When logged in as a user you see all the systems without port/switch information and only have the ability to change mac, name, vlan, and restart_now.
